PSYCHoTHERaPY, COUNSELING AND SUPERVISION

I work as a psychotherapist (in training under supervision), specialized in existential psychotherapy and counseling. My areas of expertise include treatment of anxiety and stress, support in times of crisis and transition, expatriate integration, child and adolescent psychotherapy, Autism treatment and mental health assistance to older adults/dementia patients.

Over the years, I have taken in-depth training in existential psychotherapy and additional course programs in child and adolescent psychotherapy, autism-spectrum-disorder, dyslexia and gerontological counseling. I also hold a Master's degree (English and History/Teaching) from the University of Vienna.

Many different schools exist in the field of psychotherapy. Existential psychotherapy is one of 23 accredited psychotherapy methods in Austria. It can be defined as a person-oriented psychotherapy which works primarily through verbally induced processes. Existential analysis aims at making mentally and emotionally free experiences, inducing authentic decisions and dealing with life and the world in a responsible way.

"When we are no longer able to change a situation - we are challenged to change ourselves." (Viktor E. Frankl)

I am currently a "Psychotherapist in Training under Supervision". This status entitles me to work independently as a psychotherapist in private practice while under supervision. Supervision is conducted by specifically qualified psychotherapists, which ensures that treatment meets a high quality standard.
